Date Night and Stuff

I have a date tonight with a guy I've been talking to for a couple of weeks now. He seems nice. I shall tell you all how it goes.

Life has been a bit crazy. G's sister was in an accident Wednesday. I was hired at Wal-Mart at a great starting wage. The Residence is doing everything they can to keep me, including paying me far more than they pay anyone else two weeks after they start there.

And I've actually made a slight effort to clean my house. Hey, slight is better than none, right?!

G's sister has some broken ribs and can't feel her left leg, but other than that she's doing alright. I'm a bit worried about her and G both. The sister came home yesterday, so she should be at home recovering. I know G is worried about her, because they're both really close.

There are quite a few things on my mind. My date tonight, for starters. The man wants to move to my town, but hasn't been able to find a place within his budget. He's tossed around the idea of becoming my roommate. I'll admit, the idea sounds tempting. Not because I'll have a man around the house, but because I'll be paying a ton less in rent... and considering my job situation here lately, that is a major plus.

I'll be working 2 jobs soon enough, however, it's not soon enough to comfort me when it comes to getting my bills paid next month. I'm also behind in my cable payment because of the way The Residence cut my hours. I'm not happy with them, so even though they're doing what they can to keep me, I'm still keeping them as a secondary job. NOT my priority job, and they're well aware of this. It's going to take quite a bit for them to get back in my good graces, no matter how much they like me. The only reason I didn't leave when they cut my hours so badly was because I truly enjoy the residents that live there.

Well, I should be getting the rest of my house clean so that my date can cook me dinner tonight. I hope he realizes just how humble my home really is. It's cozy, but it's definetly humble. Almost everything in it is second hand... it's small... it's just perfect for a single girl just coming out of a bad relationship and trying to work her way up to happiness.

Anyway, I'm off to clean some more. Cross your fingers and hope that this date goes well for me. I need to have some luck where men are concerned for once.
