So, I hurt myself at Wal-Mart. No, I didn't report it.
Call me stupid....ya' might as well, because everyone else is.
I'm also working 2 jobs at the moment. I don't mind it so much, really. The worst part about it is because I spend 16 hours a day on my feet (literally) than my feet constantly hurt.
Then I go and do something silly like drop 80 pounds of lava rock on my foot. 'Twas not a good thing I'm telling you. My left foot feels like someone took a hammer to it several times And because I'm over compensating for the pain in my left foot my right foot hurts and my right knee almost can't handle any weight on it anymore (because of when I hurt it at The Residence). You'd think I'd learn my lesson.
Anyway, things are going well. I work. I sleep. I eat. I repeat. I do truly enjoy both of my jobs, however, Wal-Mart is my priority.
It pays much better than the Residence, and it has better benefits. It treats me well. The Residence, on the other hand, treats everyone like crap. They're too cheap to have the correct staffing needed to do all the work. They're too cheap to provide the kind of benefits that the workers need.
In short, they're too cheap to properly run their business. Because of this, it's a dog eat dog world. The day-shift girls there are so catty it's not funny. Unless you are part of their group, you get written up, picked on and generally do most of the work. And if you don't eat what they give you than you end up miserable and/or fired.
Wal-Mart doesn't quite have that cattiness. You'll notice I said 'doesn't quite'. That's because 'every' job that employs women has a cattiness to it. The difference is how much cattiness the job will tolerate. If I were to go to a higher-up person at Wal-Mart and complain that my coworkers were making me feel uncomfortable because of certain things said, Wal-Mart will either move me to another position or move the others to another position. ... or write them up.
Iono. I like it better at Wal-Mart.
I'm gonna go get some rest, though. I need it.
