Today.

Joining my list of 'family members' today is Zavion Kayle. Born 6:24 pm, standing at 18 inches and 5 lbs, 2 ounces, this blond-haired blue-eyed gent has officially stolen his Auntie's heart.

Pictures coming eventually.

My sister's delivery was short (only 6 hours) and relatively easy. The first thing mentioned after his birth was that it would be easy to remember due to his birthday's closeness to mine. He's 4 weeks early, so he's a little small but no less cuter because of it. He's not much of a crier yet, thank goodness.

I'm so proud of T. I'm thrilled that not only is she a mother, but she's taking to it well. I've never seen her glow with happiness like I did tonight while she was holding Zavion. She and I have never been as close as we were today.

In other news:

JM called in sick to work today. For some reason he hasn't been sleeping well at all. He falls into REM sleep almost as soon as his head hits the pillow and he tosses and turns so much that he not only wakes me up, he wakes himself up also. I'm a bit worried about him. His health issues aren't lessoning even though we're finally finding out what's wrong with him.

I hate seeing him hurt and I hate not being able to help him feel better. There are other issues, more private issues, that bother me regarding his health issues but I'm unwilling to talk about them here. They're a little too personal and I don't think he'd like me sharing them with others though I need to write them out. Some things are just too bothersome for me to fully explain them in words.

I'm tired and it's past time for me to go to bed, yet here I sit with JM behind me on the bed, eating away. I'll probably end up listening to him eat (his smacking drives me nuts) then falling asleep once he's done eating.
Good night for now, folks.
